The Minefield
From August 1st this year, if you have a house with four or more bedrooms, the Government require you to commission a Home Information Pack (HIP) before you put your huse up for sale. Your estate Agent cannot market it until you have done so.
After December 1st, you must have your HIP before your Estate Agent can market your house.
The Government have yet to say when owners of other properties will have to have an HIP.
